Job Description

Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited [GIPCL] is opening job posts of Officer (Legal) – Baroda & SLPP on a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) of 3 Years (Extendable for 2 years based on need and performance).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Vetting of various project contracts from floating of tender to execution of contract, Operation & Maintenance contract as well as various contracts related to Mining of Lignite & Limestone.
  • Knowledge to deal with documentation for Land matter.
  • Able to handled Land reference cases, commercial issues that arises due to interpretation of Contract Terms & Conditions.
  • Industrial Relation and Employee Dispute matters in labour court.
  • Experience on finalization of drafting and filing of petition in various legal forum like Civil suits in various court, basic knowledge of Criminal cases & its proceeding, able to deal the matter in High Court level.
  • At least one year experience in industrial set up is essential.
  • Knowledge of arbitration proceeding.

Salary

Pay includes attractive salary, Mediclaim premium reimbursement, etc. For candidates selected for Surat Lignite Power Plant, Vill. Nani Naroli, Tal. Mangrol, Dist. Surat will have access to facilities at a modern township close to the power plant at SLPP with a school run by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s affiliated to CBSE.

Eligibility

Qualification

Any Graduate with minimum 2nd Class Degree in Law from a reputed University. Those qualified under the five (5) Years Integrated Course will also be considered.

Experience

Total three years experience out of which minimum 1 year of working experience in any industrial establishment and should have working experience of:

  • Contract Laws, Labour Laws & Arbitration & Conciliation Act.
  • Civil matters & Land Matters Ideal candidate should able to independently represent at Conciliation Offices/Revenue Offices (Deputy Collector/Mamlatdar)/Courts/High Court/ Tribunals as well as before Arbitrator.
