Rs. 15 Lakh Promise – Cheating Case Filed Against PM Modi & Amit Shah

A case has been filed in a district court at Ranchi against PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday accusing them of cheating people by promising to give 15 lakh rupees to every person’s bank account if they come into power.

The complainant RK Singh, is an advocate at Ranchi High court, lodged the complaint under Section 415 and Section 420 of Indian Penal Code for cheating and dishonesty, along with Section 120(b) of Representation of Peoples Act for seeking votes by making fake promises.

The complainant said that, in 2019 the Home Minister said that the Government is introducing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) because it was a part of BJP’s manifesto for the 2019 General Election. “Why was the promises of 2019 on CAA delivered but the promise to credit Rs 15 Lakh in everyone’s bank account has not delivered yet? He asked.

The case will come up for hearing on March 02.
