My Law School Journey by Nitish Kumar Lenka, University Law College, BBSR

I am pursuing my BA LLB in this college. I got admission into this institution through an entrance exam. This is a state-run university. I choose this college as it provides ample opportunities to every student, with experienced faculties. From the very first year the student is forced to think critically and precisely and articulate their ideas with clarity and conviction. To have the experience of real courtroom proceedings students are allowed to do internships at various commissions and tribunals which enhance basic skills in specialized areas of law i.e taxations, evidence, corporation, family and labor laws. It also allows the student to take part in various legal seminars which enable the student to pursue specialized interests & perform legal task under experienced professors. Students are given a chance to participate in the Moot Court competition that enhances the essential skills of research, memorial preparation. Other co-curriculars such as trial advocacy, legal drafting and client counseling are also conducted here.

This university conducted State level Moot Court competition annually, which allows the student to take the experience of it. Personally talking about me I have the experience of taking part in “Legal Spectra” and one “National Moot Court Competition”.
