As said by the United Nations “ Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more.”
The human rights have been considered to be of utmost importance along with the idea of providing everyone with equal power, respect and privileges which can never be taken away from them as well as inclusive of the idea of providing the benefits to each and every person alive. The human rights have played an important role in terms of reducing the suffrages and the differences between African American and White-skinned Americans, Latin American with the Europeans, Indonesians along with the Japanese and various institutions that have taken into the cognizance which are in near future responsible for the benefits and creation of egalitarian society.
However, to ensure the fulfillment of the fundamental rights, it is not always possible to make sure that the rights that have been provided as there are various situations of violations of fundamental rights that have taken place and sufficiently the UN is not able to control the overall functioning as well as the rules laid down in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. So accordingly, there have been various instruments that have been created which play an important role in the establishment of the institutions that have a greater influence on human rights by introducing policies which can be used to provide for greater benefits accordingly.
International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination:
Established in 1965, the main aim of the convention was to create an environment with which they create an environment and pass laws accordingly to implement the idea of egalitarian approach and also having the vision to create an environment with which they would make it amiable for each and every citizen of a person residing in the country. The convention resolved to completely remove the barbaric practices of the colonial powers such as looting, racial discrimination, forceful conversions etc. and to eradicate the racism completely from their nations. The convention gave out for the first time, a proper definition of racial discrimination and inclusion of all those ideas and theories that have resulted in the development of states and laws in countries that have been highly victimizing the minorities with their racial cards.
International Convention on Civil and Political Rights :
Established in 1976, the convention recognizes the importance of the idea of providing basic civil and political rights to each and every person by virtue of which they can exist and lead their lives successfully and with the bare minimum actions to take part in their nations. The convent also ensures to provide the state with political, social and economical rights with which they could successfully earn a living.

The act recognizes domestic violence firstly, along with ensuring the right laws to be passed to ensure the safety of women remains in the houses. The convention suggests the overall equality between men and women of the nations and providing them with the idea of ensuring those lines with the ratification in the constitution. The convention also conveys to the signatory nations to provide legal safety to women by including the required laws to prevent the discrimination further.
Conventions on the rights of the child:
The convention is organised in 1989 established for various grounds that provide rights to children based on civil, political and economic grounds. The convention also mentions that the children deserve to have a family with whom they can create a better off themselves, develop into a personality and establish and become a better personality for the future.
United Nation Human Rights Commission:
The commission was established to keep a check and ensure the smooth functioning of human rights all around the world. The commission deliberated, passed resolutions to counter and deal with the issues that revolved around the globe by specifically taking cognizance of those issues which have to be handled carefully. The commission deals with those issues that indulge with the grave violation of fundamental rights and also take cognisance of the idea of the creation of various reforms all around the world with considering the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as the temple and the fundamental element.
Over the years, these treaties and organizations have played an important role in providing various guidelines fundamentally to increase the belief and the philosophy and recognition of fundamental rights. However, the success rate entirely depends upon the idea of acceptance and power to influence over the various countries that are party to these instruments and organizations. Thus, the idea of these treaties and organizations are a great step towards ensuring a better society and a possibility to work properly together, however, much more needs to be done to establish a proper society and create a better atmosphere for everyone.
